Details of the Job/Internship

Meritto is hiring an Associate Manager – Legal / Manager – Legal with experience of 4–5 years to join their office in Gurugram. 

Role and Responsibilities

• File, renew, and manage trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property assets.
• Coordinate with external counsel for oppositions, objections, and hearings related to IPR matters.
• Maintain repositories and track the status of all intellectual property cases.
• Ensure statutory compliance under applicable labour laws including Shops and Establishment, PF, ESIC, and PT.
• Liaise with consultants, vendors, and government departments for registrations, renewals, and assessments.
• Prepare compliance MIS, documentation, and provide audit support.
• Draft, review, and vet legal documents, agreements, legal notices, and replies to notices.
• Coordinate with law firms and advocates for ongoing litigation matters.
• Support dispute resolution processes, evidence preparation, and court filings.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or LLM).
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in corporate legal, compliance roles, or law firms.
• Strong understanding of IPR laws, labour regulations, and corporate legal frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet timelines.
• Strong attention to detail, ethical standards, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
