Details of the Job/Internship

Rapido is hiring an Associate Manager Legal to join its Bengaluru office. The role involves advising on and managing intellectual property rights, overseeing dispute resolution, ensuring 100% legal and regulatory compliance across functions, and monitoring compliance with privacy laws applicable in India. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel to mitigate risks and support business growth.

Role and Responsibilities

Intellectual Property Rights:

• Advising on trademark searches, registration, protection, and enforcement of brand assets.
• Representing the company in trademark disputes and coordinating with external counsel.
• Advising on copyright protection, registration, enforcement, and licensing of original works including software and multimedia content.
• Drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements, including licensing, distribution, and technology transfer agreements.
• Managing IP portfolio strategy, commercialization, and conducting regular IP audits.
• Representing the company in IP-related litigation involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Working with R&D, marketing, and business development teams to identify and protect new intellectual property.
• Educating internal stakeholders on IP policies, best practices, and legal requirements.

Compliance Management:

• Ensuring 100% compliance across functions through the Complinity tool.
• Following up with internal teams to ensure timely completion and submission of compliances.
• Monitoring new compliances under applicable laws and coordinating with the Complinity team for mapping them on the tool.

Privacy Laws and Regulations:

• Maintaining a repository of applicable privacy laws and regulations.
• Tracking regulatory changes and communicating implications to relevant teams.
• Ensuring organization-wide compliance with privacy laws and related regulatory requirements.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Post-qualification experience of 1–3 years.
