Details of the Job/Internship

UrbanPiper is hiring an Associate Manager – Legal with around 5 years of experience to support its legal and compliance functions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including SaaS, reseller, NDA, MOU, license, and service agreements.
• Ensure agreements align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and manage the repository of legal documents and executed contracts.
• Support corporate secretarial compliance, including board meetings, AGMs, and statutory records.
• Draft, issue, and respond to legal notices and assist in dispute resolution.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, including GDPR and the DPDP Act.
• Conduct periodic legal audits and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Support employee immigration and work visa processes in coordination with external counsel.
• Assess legal risks for new projects and business initiatives.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in the SaaS or technology sector.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and review.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws, intellectual property rights, and commercial laws.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an MNC or global legal environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with US, UK, and EU contract and data privacy laws is an added advantage.

Salary/Stipend
