Details of the Job/Internship
JPMorgan is hiring a Legal Counsel to support its Markets business within the Commercial Investment Banking division.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and support transactional documentation including derivatives, credit, trading, TOBs, and prime brokerage agreements.
- Review constitutional documents to ensure proper corporate authority and approvals.
- Support global documentation and remediation projects.
- Conduct gap analysis of negotiated agreements against templates, playbooks, and policies.
- Identify discrepancies and manage escalation and remediation processes.
- Maintain and manage legal data in internal systems and databases.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as notices, consents, MOUs, LOIs, and RFPs.
- Collaborate with global legal teams across EMEA and APAC.
Eligibility
- Minimum 5+ years PQE in law firms or in-house roles within financial institutions.
- Experience in markets-related legal work (derivatives, structured products, securities, etc.).
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, and cross-functional environment.
