Details of the Job/Internship

Sahamati is hiring a Member Governance Associate with experience of 2–5 years to join their team in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Contribute to refining codes of conduct, guidelines, and participatory governance initiatives.
• Support documentation of deliberations in committees, councils, working groups, and consultations.
• Translate discussions into draft guidelines, codes of conduct, and best practices.
• Collaborate with ecosystem participants to gather feedback and build consensus.
• Draft explanatory notes, papers, and guidance material for members.
• Track and analyse member feedback to refine governance bye-laws.
• Coordinate with the legal team to resolve interpretation issues.
• Prepare internal briefs and public-facing reports on governance adoption and effectiveness.
• Support publication of governance materials with legal and communications teams.
• Conduct research on global governance frameworks, particularly in Open Finance.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Finance, Technology Policy, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of experience in governance, risk and compliance, public policy, or tech ecosystem policy roles.
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory and governance frameworks.
• Strong writing skills to simplify complex governance concepts.
• Detail-oriented, systems thinker, and collaborative mindset.
• Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with Account Aggregator, Open Finance, or data governance frameworks is an advantage.

Salary/Stipend
