Details of the Job/Internship
Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity) is hiring for the position of Associate-Paralegal (US Shift) with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Negotiate standard and non-standard contracts, customer paper agreements, amendments, schedules, statements of work (SOWs), purchase orders, exhibits, and particularly loan agreements.
- Review traded market documentation, trade confirmations, F&O agreements, notice addendums, and client agreements.
- Conduct document review for e-discovery and litigation support projects.
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including preparing obligation matrices, revenue recognition reports, and MIS reports.
- Handle client negotiations and related projects to ensure timely execution and completion.
- Perform quality checks, attend commercial calls, prepare meeting minutes, and manage escalations regularly.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of finance-based contracts, derivatives, and exposure to European, Asian, and US markets (preferred).
- Supervise junior colleagues and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on various legal and financial topics.
- Prepare weekly dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
- Additional certifications in finance or markets are a plus.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in negotiating traded market documentation, contract management, e-discovery, legal remediation, legal abstraction, and legal research.
- Prior experience in investment banking, financial services, legal process outsourcing, or law firms specializing in contract negotiation.
- Strong legal background with expertise in contract clauses.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and online repositories.
- Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and e-discovery platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure.
- Ability to plan, organize, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
