Details of the Job/Internship
InventIP Legal Services LLP is hiring a Patent Search and Analytics Associate to join their Gurugram office. The role involves conducting patent searches, analysing technical inventions, and delivering comprehensive search and analytics reports to support IP and innovation activities across multiple technology domains.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform patentability, invalidity, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and landscape searches.
- Analyse inventions and prior art across mechanical, electronics, chemistry, materials, and polymer technologies.
- Interpret patent claims, specifications, and technical disclosures.
- Prepare clear, concise, and structured search and analytics reports.
- Use global patent databases such as Patsnap, PatSeer, Google Patents, Espacenet, and similar tools.
- Support senior team members with technology landscaping, competitive intelligence, and IP analysis.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 0–2 years of experience in patent search and analytics; freshers may apply.
- Strong understanding of core engineering or scientific concepts in the relevant domain.
- Familiarity with global patent databases and search tools.
- Good analytical, technical writing, and interpretation skills.
