Details of the Job/Internship
Menezes Gaonkar LLP is hiring an Associate – Patents (Software) with experience of 1–3 years to join their office in Pune. The on-site role focuses on patent drafting and prosecution in the software domain, including computer-implemented and AI-related inventions, while supporting patent practice across Indian and US jurisdictions within a collaborative environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute patent applications in the software and technology domain.
- Handle matters related to computer-implemented and AI-based inventions.
- Apply patent practice and procedure across Indian and US jurisdictions.
- Work independently and collaboratively within the team on patent matters.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics and Telecommunications.
- LL.B. or Indian Patent Agent qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of patent practice and procedure in India and the USA.
- Experience in patent drafting and prosecution in software, computer-implemented, and AI inventions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good listening skills and attention to detail.
