Details of the Job/Internship
FoxMandal is hiring an Associate with a minimum of 2 years' PQE to join their specialized Privacy & Data Protection Team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise domestic and international clients on comprehensive privacy and data protection compliance frameworks.
- Draft and review complex legal documents, including data processing agreements (DPAs), privacy policies, and impact assessments.
- Provide strategic counsel on the legal implications of emerging technologies and digital business models.
- Monitor and analyze updates in Indian and global data protection laws (such as DPDPA and GDPR).
- Conduct detailed legal research and risk analysis to support technology-driven commercial transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into corporate strategies.
- Represent the firm’s clients in regulatory discussions and manage documentation for compliance audits.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); an LLM is also welcomed.
- Minimum of 2 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a relevant practice area.
- Added Advantage: Professional certifications in Privacy or Data Protection.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and technology regulations.
- Exceptional drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage tight timelines and multiple assignments efficiently.
