The Indian Maritime sector has been consistently exhibiting strong growth and is slated to be the maritime market of the future. The establishment of Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) is an endeavour by the Government of Gujarat through the Gujarat Maritime Board to provide a fillip to this growth by bridging the knowledge gap within the industry.

Details of the Job/Internship

Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) is inviting applications for the position of Associate Professor of Law with 8 years of experience to join them at their campus in Gandhinagar.

Eligibility

A good academic record, with a PhD. Degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, viz. International Trade Law or Maritime Law, either as a principal subject or an allied subject.

A Master’s degree in Law with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/ relevant/ viz. International Law is mandatory. A specialization in Maritime Law or International Trade Law, either as a principal subject or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university, is highly desirable.

A minimum of eight (08) years’ of experience of teaching and/ or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry with a minimum of seven (07) publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix-II, Table-2 as mentioned in the UGC Regulations, 2018.
