Details of the Job/Internship

K.R. Mangalam University is hiring an Assistant / Associate Professor specializing in the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver core and elective modules including AI and the Law, Digital Jurisprudence, and Cyber Law.
• Integrate innovative pedagogy such as simulation exercises for drafting AI-governance policies and mock regulatory hearings.
• Supervise postgraduate dissertations and undergraduate research projects focused on technological disruption.
• Maintain an active research profile with publications in high-impact journals focusing on AI ethics and liability.
• Lead projects aimed at integrating AI tools into legal research and clinical legal education.
• Design curricula for international laws on AI, covering frameworks like the EU AI Act and Indian standards.
• Collaborate with industry experts to ensure the curriculum reflects current trends in AI-driven legal practice.
• Organize seminars and round-table conferences on gender sensitization in AI and algorithmic stereotyping.
• Liaise with tech firms to create specialized internship opportunities for students in tech-law.

Eligibility

• LL.M. with a specialization in Tech-Law, Intellectual Property, or Corporate Law.
• Ph.D. in Law (completed or near completion) with a thesis related to technology regulation is highly desirable.
• Must meet national regulatory requirements for university-level teaching (NET or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of global AI regulatory trends and data privacy laws like GDPR or DPDP.
• Proven ability to analyze the intersection of AI with Criminal Law and digital evidence liability.
• Previous experience in academic teaching or a policy-making role within the tech sector.
