Details of the Job/Internship

Alliance University is hiring for the role of Associate Professor & Professor / Professor of Practice – Law with 8–15 years of relevant experience to join their Alliance School of Law in Bengaluru.This is a full-time position with a 3-year contract, renewable based on performance and institutional requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate law courses.
• Guide student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct and publish original legal research in reputable journals.
• Collaborate internationally and pursue external research funding.
• Mentor students and junior faculty, especially from diverse backgrounds.
• Engage in university service, departmental meetings, and community outreach.
• Build and sustain international academic partnerships and joint programs.

Eligibility

• Assistant Professor:
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law (minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade)
  • Doctorate in Law or related field from a reputed institution
• Associate Professor:
  • Master’s degree in Law with minimum 55% marks or equivalent
  • Ph.D. in Law or related area from a reputed institution
  • At least 8 years of teaching and research experience
  • Minimum 7 publications in reputed journals
• Professor:
  • Master’s degree in Law with minimum 55% marks or equivalent
  • Ph.D. in Law or related area from a reputed institution
  • Minimum 10 years of full-time teaching and research experience
  • At least 10 research publications in reputed journals
• Professor of Practice:
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience
  • Senior-level leadership experience and notable industry contributions
  • Academic degree not mandatory, but demonstrated expertise is essential
