Chandigarh University is hiring an Associate Professor / Professor – Law to join their campus in Mohali District. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, conducting research, publishing academic papers, supervising student projects and theses, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in academic and departmental activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate law subjects including constitutional law, criminal law, corporate law, and international law.
- Conduct research and publish academic papers in reputed journals.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives and departmental activities.
- Attend faculty meetings and contribute to the university’s mission and goals.
- Pursue professional development and stay updated on legal education trends.
- Collaborate and support colleagues in research interests and co-curricular activities.
Eligibility
- Ph.D. is mandatory.
- B.Com / BBA, M.Com / MBA, LLB / LLM, and Ph.D.
- Strong publication record and research background, especially for Associate Professor and Professor positions.
- Skills and experience in proposal writing or development of externally funded grants.
- Strong research track record with publications in Scopus indexed journals.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Familiarity with legal research databases and resources.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
