Details of the Job/Internship
Singhania & Co. is inviting applications for the position of M&A Associate to join their Gurugram, office.
Role and Responsibilities
- The Candidate will focus on a wide range of corporate law topics, including international investment, joint ventures, M&A, taxation, and corporate management.
- The candidate will be responsible for creating, evaluating, redlining, and negotiating various contracts and transactional documents, as well as performing general and legal research, and writing well-organized memorandums.
- The Candidate must have experience in FEMA, Company law, Joint ventures, Tax, and M&A.
- The candidate is expected to assist in offering structuring alternatives from a taxation and regulatory point of view.
- The candidate should possess the ability to analyze the various capital instruments available and propose the most suitable instrument to meet the business needs.
- The Candidate should possess a high level of proficiency in drafting agreements (e.g. share purchase contracts, subscription contracts, fiduciary contracts, business transfer contracts, asset sales/purchase contracts, etc.).
- The Candidate should be Drafting documents for setting up Alternative Investment Funds and providing end-to-end assistance for the registration process.
- The candidate should be able to research and analyze every aspect of the project with the team to come up with the best possible solution.
- The candidate should be accountable for regularly updating the knowledge management databases with the latest developments, as well as disseminating industry news to the team.
- The Candidate should be responsible for consistently performing and taking ownership of all assigned projects.
- The candidate should keep their supervisors up to date on project progress and scheduling problems as soon as possible.
- The candidate should be responsible for the development and preparation of proposals and pitch presentations.
- The candidate should have the ability to build and sustain strong working relationships and have good communication skills with clients at the right level.
