S&A Law Offices is hiring an Associate/Senior for Indirect Tax with 1 to 7 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
- Position: Associate/Sr Associate/Principal Associate (IDT Team)
Role and Responsibilities
- The role involves tax planning, preparation, compliance, and legal advisory on indirect tax matters. The candidate will provide financial analysis and expertise in tax law compliance to ensure the firm's clients meet all tax requirements.
- Providing advice on various issues like classification, rate of Tax, the applicability of exemption notifications, eligibility of input tax credit, job work, liability to pay Tax on import of goods and services or under reverse charge, valuation, etc. under GST Laws.
- Providing assistance to clients in obtaining and surrendering registration, filing refund claims, reviewing data, and filing monthly and annual returns.
- Filing of GST monthly and annual returns, filing of refund applications.
- Conducting GST health checks for clients.
- Drafting and filing of show cause notices/ appeals/ submissions/ writ petitions before departmental authorities/ tribunals/ High Courts/ Supreme Court.
Eligibility
- Qualified – LLB/CA
- Prior working experience in GST compliance and advisory
- 1-7 years PQE (Associate/Senior Associate level) – LLB from reputed institute and law firm experience/ qualified CA with prior GST experience.
