Details of the Job/Internship

Metalegal Advocates is hiring an Associate in Taxation with experience of 2–3 years to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handling Income Tax and GST litigation matters, including assessments, appeals, and departmental proceedings.
• Drafting appeals, replies, submissions, legal opinions, advisory notes, and representations.
• Managing client communications and coordination with tax authorities and tribunals.
• Supporting investigations, audits, and regulatory proceedings.
• Supervising junior team members and managing case documentation workflows.
• Contributing to knowledge initiatives, internal research, and precedent databases.

Eligibility

• Qualified Chartered Accountant or a qualified Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in tax litigation or advisory.
• Strong working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and GST laws.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
