Details of the Job/Internship
UnitedLex is hiring an Associate Trademark Paralegal to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
Trademark Paralegals
- Assist the IP Transaction Lawyer and Brand Rights team with various aspects of intellectual property transactional work.
- Manage and organize legal documents, conduct research, audit IP records, and assist in preparing IP-related agreements and documents.
- Support IP due diligence including review of IP assets and agreements.
- Generate reports on IP rights, agreements, conflicts, and searches in Anaqua.
- Conduct research on IP asset usage and competitors’ rights.
- Analyze data to identify risks and gaps, and assist in addressing them.
- Review and draft IP-related agreements such as licenses and assignments.
- Maintain and update IP-related documents in Haleon systems and Anaqua.
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, and external parties to gather information.
- Assist in trademark transactional activities including filing assignments and changes of ownership.
- Handle administrative tasks such as time, deadline, and task tracking.
- Help create and maintain the ULX Trademark Dashboard.
Trademarks Formalities
- Review incoming trademark mails and manage applicable deadlines.
- Support renewal and recordal activities.
- Enter trademark details in the docketing tool.
- Support management of Powers of Attorney.
- Forward docketed matters to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain files and documents in the document management system.
- Assist in quality assurance reviews for trademark filings and audits.
- Run customized docket/status reports as needed.
- Open new matters in document management systems.
- Review daily trademark dockets and advise on clearing them.
- Monitor quality of data entry into Anaqua and note errors or omissions.
- Update trademark case statuses with IP offices, third-party websites, and External Counsel.
- Monitor Anaqua for new domain name filings, manage domain name instructions and renewals.
