Details of the Job/Internship
Adani Power is hiring an Associate Vice President – Corporate Affairs to lead government engagement, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management for its Thermal Power Plant operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for engagement with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
- Lead the process of obtaining and managing permits, licenses, and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and applicable standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials and policymakers.
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Represent the business unit in high-level negotiations with external stakeholders.
- Align regulatory requirements with operational practices.
- Enhance the company’s reputation among key stakeholders and local communities.
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on corporate affairs and compliance matters.
- Lead crisis management efforts related to regulatory or stakeholder issues.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, or related discipline preferred.
- Strong experience in government relations and regulatory affairs (senior-level experience expected).
- In-depth understanding of environmental regulations and power sector policies.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
