Details of the Job/Internship
Diageo is hiring an Associate Vice President – Legal with 10–12+ years of experience to lead the legal function for its shared services hubs in Bangalore and Gurgaon.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to functions including procurement, HR, finance, IT, and compliance.
- Lead and supervise the negotiation, review, and execution of complex contracts and agreements.
- Supervise a team of legal professionals to ensure timely and compliant support.
- Serve as Data Protection Officer (DPO) ensuring compliance with India’s DPDP Act, GDPR, and privacy regulations.
- Oversee board meetings, regulatory filings, and company secretarial responsibilities.
- Manage dispute resolution and litigation with external counsel.
- Support internal investigations, POSH compliance, and risk management.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic and commercial legal advice.
Eligibility
- Indian-qualified lawyer with 10–12+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in corporate governance, contract negotiation, data privacy, and compliance.
- Prior experience in a multinational or shared services setup preferred.
