Details of the Job/Internship
Nomura is hiring an Associate – Legal (Contract Drafting and Negotiation) with 5–15 years of experience to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
- Provide legal advice on regulatory matters, particularly UK/EU financial regulations.
- Support business teams with daily legal issues and risk management.
- Liaise with external legal counsel when required.
- Assist in developing standardized legal documentation.
- Advise on legal risk across commercial functions.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM/CS qualification.
- Legal qualification in a UK/EU jurisdiction or equivalent experience in UK/EU legal matters.
- 5–15 years of experience, preferably in the financial services or investment banking sector.
- Experience in UK/EU regulations including EBA Guidelines, SS2/21, and DORA preferred.
- Strong experience in complex contract drafting and financial services law.
