Details of the Job/Internship

Acumen Juris is hiring for the position of Associate with 1-2 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle compliance and advisory matters involving international laws and host jurisdictions (UAE, USA, UK, Mexico, Netherlands, Brazil, Singapore, Cayman Islands, etc.)
• Prepare legal and compliance documentation as per various international regulatory frameworks.
• Provide advisory and respond to queries under Company Law, FEMA, SEBI Regulations, and other sector-specific regulations.
• Manage registration and compliance processes under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks (e.g., plastic waste, battery waste).
• Assist in transaction advisory, legal due diligence, M&A transactions, and regulatory filings (SEBI registrations, RBI approvals, Legal Metrology, Trademarks, etc.)
• Draft and review legal documents related to cross-border transactions, including shareholder agreements, MoUs, and more.
• Prepare legal opinions, information memoranda, and tailored responses to client queries.
• Contribute to thought leadership through articles and regulatory updates.
• Liaise with judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative authorities as required.

Eligibility

• Strong analytical and legal drafting skills with a solution-driven approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Team player with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Confident in handling client communication and relationship management.
• PQE: 1-2 years

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
