Details of the Job/Internship
Advocate Sumer Singh Boparai is hiring an Associate with 2–3 years PQE to join his chambers in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients and assist in proceedings across all Delhi Courts and the Punjab & Haryana High Court.
- Handle specialized litigation before Tribunals and investigative authorities.
- Draft complex criminal pleadings, including bail applications, quashing petitions, and revision petitions.
- Conduct extensive legal research on specialized statutes like PMLA (Money Laundering) and UAPA (Anti-Terrorism).
- Monitor and manage court procedures, ensuring timely filings and adherence to judicial protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of trial strategies and the briefing of senior counsel where necessary.
- Coordinate with clients and investigative agencies during the various stages of criminal proceedings.
Eligibility
- Experience: 2–3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in criminal litigation.
- Strong knowledge of White-Collar Crime frameworks, including the PC Act and NDPS Act.
- Proven skills in legal drafting and qualitative research of judicial precedents.
- Sound understanding of court procedures across different High Courts and Tribunals.
- Based in or willing to work out of New Delhi.
