Details of the Job/Internship
Alathea Law LLP is hiring an Associate to join its Mumbai office on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves legal research, drafting and reviewing documents, advising on legal issues, representing clients in court, arbitration, and mediation, and supporting senior counsels and partners in ongoing matters, along with direct client interaction and collaborative case strategy development.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Draft, review, and vet contracts and legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on corporate and dispute-related matters.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
- Assist senior counsels and partners in litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Engage in direct client communication and manage client interactions.
- Contribute to collaborative case strategies and matter management.
Eligibility
- Strong skills in legal research, drafting, and document review.
- Proficiency in legal analysis, case review, and advocacy.
- Knowledge and experience in Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Dispute Resolution.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-based legal environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Law degree from a recognised institution and qualification to practice law in India.
- Experience in a law firm or similar environment is preferred; exceptional fresh graduates may also apply.
