Details of the Job/Internship

Aretha Legal is hiring for the position of Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Technology & IP Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate software and technology agreements, including SaaS, licensing, cloud services, and product development contracts.
• IP Advisory: Advise clients on IP protection, registration, licensing structures, and conduct IP diligence in investment and acquisition transactions.
• Data Protection & Tech Law: Assist with compliance on data privacy and technology-related regulations.
• Commercial & Cross-Border Agreements: Structure, draft, and vet commercial and cross-border contracts involving IT and IP elements.
• Regulatory Research: Track and analyze emerging trends in technology, IP, and privacy law.
• General Corporate Work: Draft and review commercial contracts, employment agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Contract Management: Assist clients with contract lifecycle management across procurement, vendor, IP, services, and technology categories.
• Investment Transactions: Support due diligence, transaction structuring, term sheets, closing documentation, and post-closing compliances in VC, PE, and strategic investments.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a reputed institution.
• 3–5 years of experience in relevant practice areas (exceptional freshers with strong internships will also be considered).
• Strong skills in legal drafting, research, and analysis.
• Solid understanding of corporate and commercial laws.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and perform under tight deadlines.
