Details of the Job/Internship
Aura & Company is hiring an Associate with 2–5 years of experience and strong exposure to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handling matters before NCLT and NCLAT, including drafting petitions, replies, rejoinders, interlocutory applications, and written submissions.
- Conducting legal research on IBC, CIRP, liquidation, Section 7/9/10 petitions, avoidance transactions, CoC-related issues, and RP/IRP compliances.
- Coordinating with Resolution Professionals, Corporate Debtors, Financial and Operational Creditors, Forensic Auditors, and government authorities.
- Preparing case notes, briefs, and strategic assessments for senior advocates and internal partners.
- Attending hearings and assisting in litigation management for insolvency matters.
Eligibility
- Strong command over the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and related regulations.
- Excellent drafting skills and familiarity with NCLT practice and procedure.
- Ability to work under tight timelines in a high-intensity litigation environment.
- Professional communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple IBC cases simultaneously.
- LL.B. from a recognised university.
- Prior IBC-focused law firm or chamber experience is preferred.
