Details of the Job/Internship
Chambers of Akhil Nair is hiring for the position of Associate to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and contracts.
- Conducting in-depth legal research and preparing case summaries.
- Assisting in court preparation and appearing in court as required.
- Supporting client consultations and maintaining effective communication.
- Managing and organizing case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborating with team members on civil, criminal, and corporate matters.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and court authorities as necessary.
Eligibility
- LL.B degree from a recognized university.
- Member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa (or eligible for enrollment).
- Proven experience in civil litigation, criminal law, and corporate/commercial practice.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in commercial conveyancing, wills, or insurance law is an added advantage.
