Details of the Job/Internship
Corp Legex is hiring an Associate to join its legal practice. The role offers hands-on exposure to corporate transactions, insolvency matters, and civil and commercial litigation, along with client interaction and strategic legal work.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide transaction support in mergers and acquisitions, including legal due diligence and drafting and negotiation of documents.
- Represent clients in corporate litigation, including oppression and mismanagement and shareholder disputes before NCLT and NCLAT.
- Handle matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, including drafting pleadings, applications, affidavits, and assisting in resolution plan evaluation.
- Assist in civil and commercial litigation before District Courts, Commercial Courts, and High Courts.
- Conduct legal research and support case strategy development and briefing of senior counsel.
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective deliverables.
Eligibility
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills.
- Sound understanding of multiple areas of law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyse complex legal issues and apply legal principles in advisory and litigation contexts.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
