Details of the Job/Internship
Desai & Diwanji is hiring an Associate with 1–2 years of experience to join its General Corporate practice in the Pune office. The role requires transactional exposure through prior internships or work experience and the ability to work on complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and corporate agreements.
- Support senior associates and partners on M&A, corporate advisory, and related matters.
- Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and real estate laws, including regulations and policy developments.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients on matter-related documentation.
- Ensure timely execution and delivery of assigned tasks.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or equivalent degree from a reputed law school.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in general corporate practice at a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills.
- Understanding of corporate laws, commercial laws, and real estate laws.
- Proficiency in Marathi and English (written and spoken).
- Preferred: Prior internships with leading law firms, strong academic background, ability to work independently and in a team, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
