DWF is hiring an Associate with experience of 3 to 5 years to join their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of quality in work and always meet the service level commitments made to the client.
- Quickly grasp the subject matter fundamentals of the project and raise questions on the project matters to accurately understand the client's requirements.
- Write insightful subject matter escalations in a client-ready manner to help the project team get aligned with the client’s approach.
- Ensure consistent target attainment across all projects.
- Assist the team in reaching project milestones.
- Foster a healthy competitive spirit within the team.
- Demonstrate adaptability and scalability by seamlessly performing at the highest level across different practice areas, such as Litigation Investigations, Contract Management, Compliance, Legal Research, and Cyber Security Incident Response.
- Work with flexible approach to accommodate shifts in workload priorities.
- Perform administrative tasks assigned by the project managers and assist Senior Associates by sharing their workload.
- Be updated with the latest trends in the legal services industry.
- Generate ingenious ideas to streamline project processes.
- Think creatively and challenge the status quo.
- Timely complete all mandatory organizational and skill-based training.
- Successfully clear the project screening assessments designed to evaluate understanding of the subject matter.
- Proactively upskill by leveraging DWF’s wide database of self-driven pieces of training.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law.
- Proficient in analyzing and evaluating diverse documents, such as contractual agreements (for summarization and redlining), communications (for relevancy and privilege), compliance-related files, and confidential personal information.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of industry-leading Legal Technology platforms used for eDiscovery, Contract Lifecycle Management, Compliance, Legal Research, or Cyber Incident Reviews.
- Candidates with additional certifications may have an edge- - E.g. Certification for any recognized Legal Technology, Certification in Basics of Six Sigma, Certification for business use of MS World Applications (Excel/PPT/Word)
- Experience in creating Boolean searches, Keyword Searches, QC workflows, etc.
- Sound understanding of the eDiscovery process--
- Basic contract redlining skills.
- Experience working on contractual clauses paraphrasing / summarization/abstraction.
- Sound understanding of due diligence, legal research, and compliance requirements.
- Expertise in identifying and handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI), along with a comprehensive grasp of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring adherence to privacy laws and regulations.
