Details of the Job/Internship
Fox Mandal & Associates is hiring an associate with 2-6 years of experience to join them in Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, memos, etc.
- Attending various courts/ tribunal hearings and arguing matters while representing clients.
- Strategizing, preparing for, and attending trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
- Drafting of legal notices, default notices, replying to legal notices, etc.
- Should have working knowledge and experience of CPC, Consumer Law, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, Contract Law, Limitation, Registration, etc.
- Should have experience handling multiple types of suits, e.g. Suit for Recovery, Suit for Declaration, Possession and Injunction, Specific Performance of Contract, etc.
- Should have capability of conducting legal research with precision and proficiency.
- Contributing to the firm’s thought leadership through the contribution of insightful content.
- Contributing to the firm's values and culture through participation in CSR, pro-bono and social activities.
Eligibility
- An understanding of applicable laws and the procedure.
- Member of the state or local bar association.
- Excellent research skills and persuasive writing skills.
- Analyzing cases and predicting outcomes when the legal scenario changes.
- Strategic approach to identifying and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
- Knowledge of Marathi language (Not mandatory).
- LLB/LLM from a reputed institution with 2–6 years PQE, preferably in a law firm.
