Details of the Job/Internship

G D Bansal & Associates, a prestigious intellectual property rights (IPR) law firm in Jaipur, is seeking an Associate to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on trademark prosecution and litigation matters across India. As part of the firm's dedicated team of attorneys and experts, you will contribute to safeguarding and maximizing the value of clients' trademarks while gaining valuable experience in the field of intellectual property law.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive trademark investigations and offer strategic guidance on viability and potential threat.
• Create, assess, and manage trademark-related contracts such as licensing and transfer agreements.
• Attend hearing in trademark conflicts, oppositions, cancellations, and legal proceedings.
• Drafting of legal Notices, Oppositions, Rectifications, etc.
• Offer legal assistance in overseeing, preserving and maintaining trademark portfolios.

Eligibility

• LL.B. /LL.M. from a recognized university and should be well-versed with Intellectual Property laws.
• Minimum PQE of 1-3 years. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Experience in attending hearings before the IPO (Prosecution and Opposition)
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Managing trademark portfolios, docketing, and routine client follow-ups.
• Providing opinions on non-disputed trademark matters.
• Experience of providing opinion on contentious / dispute matters involving trademarks.
• Attending official hearings at the Trademark Registry for both Show-cause and opposition proceedings.
• Monitoring and following up with Trademark Registries for requests filed during pre-registration and post-registration stages.
