Details of the Job/Internship
GGC Legal is hiring a Legal Associate to join their office in Chembur, Mumbai. This is a full-time, on-site role involving handling diverse legal work related to Indirect Taxes, including research, drafting, compliance, case analysis, client communication, and representation before relevant fora.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle legal research, drafting, compliance, and case analysis related to Indirect Taxes.
- Prepare high-quality replies to Show Cause Notices.
- Draft and file Appeals before Commissioner (Appeals) and CESTAT.
- Assist in drafting Writ Petitions before High Courts.
- Prepare applications for Bail and Anticipatory Bail in tax-related offences.
- Support case preparation and maintain effective client communication.
- Represent matters before appropriate legal forums as required.
Eligibility
- Strong knowledge of Indirect Taxes including GST, Central Excise, Customs, and Service Tax.
- Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-centric approach.
- Familiarity with PMLA, FEMA, foreign trade policy, and legal technology tools is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or a related field.
- Prior experience in taxation or legal domains is mandatory.
