Details of the Job/Internship
Hourglass Research is hiring a Patent Prosecution Analyst with experience of 1–2 years to support global patent prosecution initiatives across the US, India, and Europe.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle patent prosecution matters for US, Indian, and European jurisdictions.
- Analyse office actions and cited prior art to distinguish inventions and draft technically sound and persuasive responses aligned with client expectations.
- Coordinate with attorneys, inventors, and internal teams to gather technical inputs and ensure timely submissions.
- Review technical disclosures and supporting documents to understand inventions and prosecution strategies.
- Manage multiple prosecution assignments while maintaining accuracy, quality, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to a knowledge-sharing and quality-driven work environment.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ECE, EEE, CSE, Information Science, or Information Technology.
- Professional experience of 1–2 years in patent prosecution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret prior art and identify differentiating technical features.
- Ability to quickly understand complex or emerging technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Familiarity with patent procedures, office action practice, and prosecution workflows.
