Details of the Job/Internship
IPR Law Associates is hiring an Associate with 1–2 years of relevant experience to join their Mumbai-based team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle IP prosecution, opposition, and litigation matters specifically for Trademarks, Copyrights, and Industrial Designs.
- Draft and finalize critical documents including Notices of Opposition, Counter Statements, and Evidence under Rules 45, 46, and 47.
- Prepare specialized legal notices such as Cease and Desist letters, Rectification Notices, and Deeds of Assignment.
- Assist in and attend IP-related litigation matters before relevant Tribunals and Courts.
- Represent clients directly before IP statutory authorities and judicial forums as required.
- Collaborate with the litigation team to develop and refine case strategies for ongoing disputes.
- Provide practical and well-reasoned legal advice to clients regarding IP protection and enforcement.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council and eligible to practice law in India.
- Approximately 1–2 years of specific experience in Intellectual Property law.
- Strong understanding of the Indian Trademark Rules and opposition procedures.
- Excellent drafting skills with high attention to legal detail.
- Ability to thrive in a supportive yet fast-paced professional environment.
