JPMorganChase is hiring an Associate - Legal - Centre of Excellence with experience of 1+ years to join their office in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide detailed legal analysis and support for various global legal projects and documentation.
- Collaborate on large-volume deals and complex remediation projects across multiple business lines.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance the overall efficiency of the legal team.
- Conduct gap analysis by comparing negotiated agreements against standardized templates, playbooks, and policy manuals.
- Identify discrepancies and escalation mechanisms to manage large-scale remediation exercises.
- Review legal documents with a focus on strong technical contract knowledge and high attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with technology teams to implement digital solutions.
- Work with metrics and data to track project progress and team performance.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a premier law school in India.
- 1+ years of post-qualification legal experience (PQE).
- Strong legal analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using legal technology and documentation management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and identify/escalate issues timely.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse global team.
