Details of the Job/Internship

JPMorganChase is hiring an Associate - Legal - Centre of Excellence with experience of 1+ years to join their office in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide detailed legal analysis and support for various global legal projects and documentation.
• Collaborate on large-volume deals and complex remediation projects across multiple business lines.
• Design and implement process improvements to enhance the overall efficiency of the legal team.
• Conduct gap analysis by comparing negotiated agreements against standardized templates, playbooks, and policy manuals.
• Identify discrepancies and escalation mechanisms to manage large-scale remediation exercises.
• Review legal documents with a focus on strong technical contract knowledge and high attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with technology teams to implement digital solutions.
• Work with metrics and data to track project progress and team performance.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a premier law school in India.
• 1+ years of post-qualification legal experience (PQE).
• Strong legal analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using legal technology and documentation management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and identify/escalate issues timely.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse global team.
