Khare Legal Chambers – India is hiring an Associate with experience of 2+ years to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves assisting in litigation, arbitration and corporate advisory matters across various forums, along with drafting, research and case preparation responsibilities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Appear and assist in litigation, arbitration and corporate advisory matters before diverse forums.
- Draft pleadings, petitions, written statements, arbitration documents and legal notices.
- Prepare and vet commercial contracts, service agreements, MoUs, NDAs and term sheets.
- Conduct legal research, case analysis and interpret statutes and precedents.
- Assist in preparing case briefs, notes and arbitration submissions including Statements of Claim and Rejoinders.
- Support senior partners in strategy development and case preparation.
- Coordinate with clients, counsels and authorities for case progress and documentation.
- Maintain organized case records and research databases.
Eligibility
- LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) from a recognized university.
- 2+ years of experience in litigation, arbitration and corporate law.
- Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of contract law, arbitration procedure and commercial laws.
- Ability to draft agreements and arbitration-related documents accurately.
- Excellent communication, coordination and time-management skills.
- Professional, detail-oriented and capable of handling independent responsibilities.
