Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate in Indirect Tax Litigation with 0-2 years of experience to join their Hyderabad office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in responding to the department during enquiry, investigation, and audit.
- Draft replies to show cause notices and audit queries.
- Prepare tax appeals for filing before the Joint Commissioner (Appeals), Tribunal, High Court, and Supreme Court.
- Assist seniors in client representation before judicial forums.
- Conduct comprehensive research on indirect tax issues.
- Provide client service delivery including preparation of submissions, replies, and appeals.
- Meet tax authorities and represent clients during appeals along with seniors.
- Handle assignments for multiple clients, taking independent responsibility for smaller matters.
- Build rapport with client management.
- Stay updated with tax and legal developments and contribute to knowledge management activities.
- Network internally and identify opportunities for clients.
Eligibility
- Qualification: Qualified CA/LLB.
- Experience: 0-2 years in Indirect Tax preferred (GST, Customs, etc.).
