Details of the Job/Internship
M-A-Y- Lawyers LLP is hiring for the position of Associate with 0-2 years of experience to join their office in Kanpur.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist with corporate litigation matters, including drafting pleadings and appearing before courts and tribunals.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare opinions on various legal and regulatory issues.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal notices.
- Handle matters related to trademark registration, protection, and enforcement.
- Support secretarial compliance tasks under the Companies Act and allied laws.
- Collaborate with in-house CAs and CSs on accounting and corporate governance matters.
- Engage with clients to deliver practical, business-friendly legal advice.
- Contribute to internal knowledge development and cross-functional projects.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution.
- 0–2 years of experience in a multidisciplinary legal or corporate advisory setup.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, corporate litigation, and compliance processes.
- Working knowledge of trademark law, Companies Act, and accounting basics.
- Strong communication, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience in business law or dispute resolution is a plus.
