Details of the Job/Internship
Metalegal Advocates is hiring an Associate – Economic Offences & Taxation with 0–1 year of experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist clients during investigations and enforcement proceedings before agencies.
- Draft and file replies, appeals, and submissions under PMLA, Benami Act, and related legislations.
- Prepare written submissions under the Income-tax Act before appellate forums.
- Draft petitions, replies, and pleadings before authorities, tribunals, and courts.
- Advise clients on attachment, freezing, and confiscation of assets.
- Conduct legal research on PMLA, Benami Law, Income Tax, Companies Act, and Securities Laws.
- Support the preparation of legal opinions and client memoranda.
- Contribute to dispute resolution and knowledge management initiatives.
Eligibility
- LL.B. (five-year or three-year) from a recognized Indian university.
- Prior exposure or interest in economic offences, taxation, or white-collar investigations preferred.
- Strong research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- High diligence and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
