Details of the Job/Internship

Priyanka Chaudhari & Associates is hiring for the position of Associate to join their office in Mumbai in hybrid mode. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of legal documents such as co-production agreements, licensing agreements, production contracts, talent engagement agreements, term sheets, and rights assignment/licenses.
• Conduct script and content reviews to ensure legal compliance for various projects.
• Perform chain of title checks and rights due diligence for film, series, and digital content.
• Coordinate title clearances, stamp duty calculations, and registration processes with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date legal trackers and build efficient tools to manage legal documentation workflows.
• Engage in legal research and share industry updates relevant to media law, IPR, and content regulation.

Eligibility

• You have 4–5 years of PQE in the Media & Entertainment legal domain (exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered based on merit).
• You possess strong knowledge of Media & Entertainment Laws, IPR, and key statutes including the CPC, CrPC, IPC, IT Act, and the Constitution of India.
• You understand the business and commercial workings of the Indian entertainment industry (films, OTT, music, television).
• You bring a problem-solving mindset, are eager to ask questions, and are always up for a challenge.
• You are self-driven, accountable, and thrive in an environment that values autonomy — our motto is: “You do you”, as long as the work gets done with professionalism and efficiency.
