Details of the Job/Internship
S. MAJUMDAR & CO. is hiring an Associate (Trade Marks) with experience of 3–5 years to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle trademark prosecution and manage contentious legal matters for a diverse client base.
- Conduct and advise on trademark clearance searches to assess brand availability.
- Draft precise and effective responses to office actions issued by the Registry.
- Represent clients and handle appearances before the Trade Marks Registry, Delhi.
- Perform extensive legal research to support strategic case work and litigation.
- Draft legal notices, pleadings, and other documents related to trademark disputes.
- Collaborate with the broader IP team to manage and grow the firm's trademark portfolio.
Eligibility
- 3–5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) specifically in Intellectual Property.
- Strong hands-on experience in Trade Mark prosecution and contentious matters.
- Excellent drafting and professional communication skills.
- Demonstrated long-term commitment and interest in Intellectual Property Law.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to handle complex legal research.
- Must be willing to work strictly on-site in New Delhi.
