Details of the Job/Internship

S&A Law Offices is hiring an Associate with experience of 2-3 years to join their Gurugram office.

Role and Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for conducting trademark searches and providing search opinions, filing and prosecuting trademark applications, and delivering legal opinions on trademark matters.
• The role includes preparing, maintaining, and updating client trademark portfolios, as well as handling client queries related to IP practices in India and drafting comprehensive legal opinions.
• The candidate should be proficient in preparing replies to Examination Reports, Notices of Opposition, Counter Statements, various legal notices, and rejoinders.
• The position also involves managing oppositions, cancellations, rectifications, and affidavits, along with attending hearings at the Trademark Registry. Experience with filing trademark recordals, updating titles, and managing renewals is essential.
• Additionally, the candidate will assist seniors in allied matters, demonstrating a thorough understanding of all aspects of trademark law and procedures.

Eligibility

• Analytical bent of mind, expected to give valid and effective solutions to clients.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Office, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent Research skills.
• Excellent comprehension and presentation skills.
• Team worker, highly motivated and able to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
