Shekhawat Law is a boutique law firm located in South Delhi, India, that specializes in Intellectual Property (IP) Rights and Technology Law. The firm provides comprehensive legal services including IP registration, litigation, and advisory services to domestic as well as international clients. Shekhawat Law also provides advisory and litigation services covering practice areas such as IPRs, Biological Diversity, Data Protection/Privacy and other laws having an interface with technology and sciences.
Details of the Job/Internship
The full-time Associate role at Shekhawat Law is based on-site in South Delhi. As part of the team, you will work closely with experienced legal professionals, engaging in various legal tasks and projects. This includes conducting legal research, drafting documents, assisting in client meetings, and supporting litigation activities. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment while contributing to the firm's success.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assisting with Patent drafting.
- Handling IPR prosecution.
- Drafting case pleadings.
- Writing legal opinions, case briefs, and memoranda.
- Attending client meetings.
- Appearing before the Indian IP office and Courts, as needed.
Eligibility
Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Engineering/Science Degree (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Software, Physics; Biotech)- from a reputed University AND
- LL.B (1-2 year PQE)
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Experience with IP registration and/or Litigation, Legal research
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Additional Qualifications (optional):
- Patent Agent Exam qualified
- Knowledge of domestic and international IP laws and regulations
- Experience in technology law
- Fluency in Hindi or another Indian language
