Sinha & Company, Advocates is hiring an Associate with 4+ years of experience. The role involves independently handling litigation and arbitration matters, drafting legal documents, and managing cases across multiple forums, including statutory and quasi-judicial authorities, the Supreme Court, the Calcutta High Court, and civil and criminal courts.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft legal notices, agreements, pleadings, and arbitration-related documents.
- Handle litigation and arbitration matters independently.
- Manage cases end-to-end, including coordination with clients and counsel.
- Conduct legal research, documentation, and case tracking through relevant digital tools.
Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years of experience in writ matters, ombudsman matters, and practice before civil and criminal forums.
- Proven appearances before statutory and quasi-judicial authorities, the Supreme Court, the Calcutta High Court, and the City Civil Court.
- Strong drafting skills for legal notices, agreements, and arbitration proceedings.
- Ability to independently manage litigation and arbitration matters end-to-end.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of legal issues.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with e-filing, cause-list management, Excel, and email platforms.
- Availability to join within a short timeframe.
Salary/Stipend
