Details of the Job/Internship
Vasanthan Baskaran is hiring for the position of Associate with 4-7 years of experience to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist senior lawyers in case strategy, hearings, and client representation.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis across multiple practice areas.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, written submissions, and legal notices.
- Attend court proceedings, client consultations, and legal conferences as required.
- Liaise with courts, tribunals, and government offices for case-related documentation and compliance.
- Maintain organized case files, follow-ups, and internal documentation protocols.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; enrollment with a Bar Council is mandatory.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in a law firm or as an independent legal associate.
- Prior exposure to litigation in banking, corporate, commercial, and criminal matters is highly preferred.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with court procedures, e-filing systems, and digital tools commonly used in legal practice.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
