Details of the Job/Internship

Vis Legis Law Practice, Advocates is hiring an Associate with 4–5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. This is a full-time, on-site position where the Associate will manage and represent clients in legal matters, draft and review legal documents, advise clients across various legal domains, conduct legal research, and collaborate with team members to ensure the successful handling of cases.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and represent clients in legal cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Advise clients across various legal domains.
• Conduct legal research.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure successful handling of cases.
• Interact with clients, legal professionals, court authorities, and government authorities.

Eligibility

• Proven experience in civil and commercial litigation, including representing clients and providing legal support for trials and other proceedings before various courts and tribunals, including the High Court and National Company Law Tribunal.
• Proven experience in corporate transactions and business documentation, with strong proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Expertise in arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• In-depth understanding of company law, contract law, arbitration, and insolvency and bankruptcy.
• Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to travel for work and to work collaboratively, independently, and under strict timelines while managing multiple cases.
• Law degree from an accredited institution and enrolment with the Bar Council of India.
• Additional certifications in specialised legal areas are an advantage.
