Details of the Job/Internship
Fox & Mandal is expanding its dispute resolution team in Kolkata and is seeking dynamic and motivated Associates to join their Dispute resolution practice group.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings, including drafting pleadings, appearing in courts/tribunals, and conducting legal research.
- Handle civil, commercial, and corporate disputes before various forums, including the High Court, NCLT, District Courts, and arbitration tribunals.
- Assist in strategizing dispute resolution approaches, including pre-litigation advisory and settlement negotiations.
- Draft and review legal documents such as writ petitions, plaints, applications, rejoinders, legal opinions, and agreements.
- Research case law, statutes, and regulatory frameworks relevant to disputes.
- Coordinate with senior counsels and external legal teams for high-stakes matters.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and timelines while managing case files and documentation.
Eligibility
The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in handling litigation and arbitration matters.
