Details of the Job/Internship

Singhania & Partners LLP is hiring an Associate / Senior Associate – Litigation with 2–6 years of experience to join its Bengaluru office. The role involves hands-on litigation work across District Courts, the High Court, and relevant tribunals, with responsibilities spanning drafting, court appearances, research, and case strategy support.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day litigation matters before District Courts, the High Court, and relevant tribunals in Bengaluru.
• Draft pleadings, applications, written submissions, affidavits, notices, and replies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case briefs, notes, and opinions.
• Assist in case strategy and support senior counsels during hearings and trials.
• Appear in court for routine hearings, mentions, adjournments, and procedural matters.
• Coordinate with clients, counsels, court clerks, and registry offices.
• Track case progress, manage filings, and ensure compliance with procedural timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of case files and updates.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university.
• Enrolment with a State Bar Council.
• Associate: 2–3 years of active litigation experience.
• Senior Associate: 3–6 years of active litigation experience.
• Mandatory proficiency in Kannada, including reading and speaking.
• Prior experience in civil and commercial litigation; exposure to criminal litigation is relevant.
• Familiarity with court procedures and filings in Bengaluru courts.
