Criminal Appeals Advocates PC is hiring a Remote Criminal Appeals Attorney with relevant experience to assist with research-based drafting in criminal-appeals and post-conviction matters.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft appellate briefs, writ petitions, motions, and supporting memoranda in criminal matters.
• Review trial records, transcripts, and prior filings to identify relevant facts and legal issues.
• Conduct targeted legal research on constitutional, evidentiary, and procedural issues.
• Revise drafts based on senior attorney feedback.
• Maintain clear communication and meet deadlines within a remote workflow.

Eligibility

• Law degree.
• Prior experience in appellate writing, post-conviction work, clerkships, or similar research-intensive roles.
• Strong legal writing, issue framing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organization, professionalism, and reliability.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
