Criminal Appeals Advocates PC is hiring a Remote Criminal Appeals Attorney with relevant experience to assist with research-based drafting in criminal-appeals and post-conviction matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft appellate briefs, writ petitions, motions, and supporting memoranda in criminal matters.
- Review trial records, transcripts, and prior filings to identify relevant facts and legal issues.
- Conduct targeted legal research on constitutional, evidentiary, and procedural issues.
- Revise drafts based on senior attorney feedback.
- Maintain clear communication and meet deadlines within a remote workflow.
Eligibility
- Law degree.
- Prior experience in appellate writing, post-conviction work, clerkships, or similar research-intensive roles.
- Strong legal writing, issue framing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organization, professionalism, and reliability.
Salary/Stipend
