Details of the Job/Internship

IBM is hiring an Attorney with 5–13 years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm to join their Bangalore Legal CoE. The role involves providing legal guidance across transactional and non-transactional matters, including IT contracts, privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance to IBM business units and support teams across transactional and non-transactional matters.
• Contribute to commercial engagements including distribution agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and other contracts.
• Advise business functions on regulatory compliance, contractual disputes, litigation, intellectual property, privacy, cybersecurity, workplace relations, and other legal matters.
• Support continuous operational improvement in legal service delivery.
• Work independently on matters with decreasing supervision as familiarity with IBM’s operations grows.

Eligibility

• Qualified to practice law in India.
• 5–13 years of legal experience in-house, at a law firm, or a combination of both.
• Proficiency in negotiating IT contracts with government and commercial entities in services, software, and cloud solutions.
• Experience in privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Strong integrity and ethical standards.

Salary/Stipend
